You will be joining a dynamic and proactive practice to support our high performing Client Services Team which excels beyond clients’ expectations. It is now necessary to grow the department by one new member due to customer needs and business growth.
We are seeking an experienced payroll processor and bookkeeper to help with the delivery of payroll services for over 200 clients. You will ensure that all client payrolls are processed accurately, on time, and in line with current legislations.
In addition, you will carry out bookkeeping duties for a variety of clients, inputting data on a weekly basis, advising on any issues, and completing quarterly VAT returns.
Main duties will include:-
- Process client payrolls accurately and on time using Sage and Xero
- Handle client queries and provide expert payroll advice
- Carry out daily bookkeeping duties, ensuring financial data accuracy and compliance
- Prepare and maintain VAT returns
- Ensure all records are kept up to date
- Communicate with clients via telephone, email, and in person
- Work within required deadlines while delivering excellent customer service
Key skills required:-
- Proven experience in payroll and bookkeeping
- Strong knowledge of payroll processes and legislation
- Competent in cloud software such as Xero
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
- Excellent planning and organisational skills
- Ability to work largely unsupervised and be self-motivated
- Written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent time-management
- Ability to work to strict deadlines
