As you will be aware, on 18th November 2025 the new identity verification requirement was introduced by Companies House, meaning that all directors and PSC’s must now obtain Personal Codes by verifying their identity in order to submit certain documents – the main one being confirmation statements.
There are two dates by which the identity verification must be completed, depending on your role in a company. If you are a director and PSC of the same company, your verification will be due at the date the next confirmation statement is due. If, however, you are solely a PSC (and not a director), your verification will be due within the first two weeks of your birth month.
Companies House has now helpfully added an ‘Identity verification due’ date on their website which can be found under the ‘People’ tab. It can however be confusing as they state the dates due as both a director and a PSC, but as advised above, if you are a director and a PSC you should go by the confirmation statement due date.
