As you are aware from previous recent articles there is a Discretionary Grant that can be used for those being adversely affected by Coronavirus. These have been made available from today and there is only a 14 day window in which to apply.
Under government guidance the following groups will be prioritized:
· Small business in shared offices or other flexible work spaces;
· Regular market traders with fixed building costs who do not have their own rates assessment;
· Bed& Breakfast businesses which pay Council Tax instead of business rates;
· Charity property in receipt of Charitable Business tax relief who would otherwise have been eligible for small business rural rates relief.
